We’ve been exploring the yard….

WOW! Isn’t it amazing what you can find in the deepest, darkest corners of your yard! From spears, helmets and shields from Gladiator (2000), to the wheels from the Prometheus (2012) spaceship – we’ve found it all!

‘Gravity’ wins BAFTA for VFX – and the rest!

'Gravity' nominated for Baftas

borrowed from:

‘Gravity’ which stars Sandra Bullock  and George Clooney was up against The Hobbit: The Desolation of SmaugIron Man 3The Lone Ranger and Star Trek Into Darkness to win the prize for visual effects – what tough competition! Although the movie was an all-american cast and Mexican director, it was filmed in the UK and is just shows why we are the leaders in VFX / Special FX. A very proud moment for British film.

The film didn’t stop there – walking away with 6 awards out of 10 nominations in total including Sound and Cinematography – wowzers they pulled out no stops there! With their brand new techniques, the crew working alongside Alfonso Cuaron has set the bar yet higher for cinematography and VFX. Expecting to see great things in the future for an industry that knows no bounds!

“Kamienie na szaniec” – Polish Adventure (Sep 2013)

When I was asked to be a part of a Polish film named “Kamienie na szaniec” (Monolith Productions), I didn’t know what to expect. Not knowing a single word of Polish, I thought that perhaps ideas would be lost in translation, but we all quickly learned to communicate almost entirely in signs! The film is adapted from the book “Stones for the Rampart” published in 1943 during the 2nd world war.

You can find the trailer here:
